Hero Rating Dropped After Ranking Up

I just ranked up a four-star Iron Man from rank 2 to rank 3, only to have my hero rating drop 8 points. Why is this happening?

    Hi Darthbeejay,

    At Rank 3 Level 1 a 4-Star Champion may have a slightly lower attack than a Rank 2 Level 20. In this case, Iron Man's base attack power is 4 lower. As you continue to level up, the Hero Rating will increase. Sorry for the confusion, but this is not a bug.
