Error connecting to network

Greetings,
During my daily arena grind an unfortunate event popped up, when I went to fight my opponent the text "Error Connecting to Network" popped up on my screen, when I hit ok it sent me out of the arena. This would all be fine, however, the fight which I could not connect to was counted as a loss. Has this happened to anyone else?
