Flagging posts in the forums

Ok so I was looking at a lot of posts and people are flagging others for no reason at all. It's like you are getting flagged just for commenting. I don't get why this feature should reduce your points. If someone is abusing/spamming then just ban them from the website.

Seems like the culprit could be what the others mentioned here, but I won't point fingers early even though it's almost certain.
Or a dislike button. Can't see how hard it is to add an extra button or two for someone to express displeasure at a post, without having to resort to using the flag button. Flagging should be reserved for what's it's designed for; to highlight spammed or abusive messages.
I can see that your positive comment regarding beast is considered abusive ( https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/comment/36073#Comment_36073 ).
Back in the "old" days of a few weeks ago, we were able to see who was selecting spam or abuse. People complained that there are those who are abusing this feature. The only change Kabam made is that they took away your ability to see who accused you of spamming or abusing. As a consequence, you can't see who agreed, liked, etc. with you either.
People are flagging because it shows up on your profile. It isn't the points. Lowering your points is a bonus for them. People get to see how many times you were flagged for "spam" or "abuse" and that is what motivates them. More specifically, they do it to annoy you.
Very few use it as a "dislike" style button. That is just an excuse made up in the forum to cover up their abuse of the flagging options.
The MCOC community shouldn't be considered an honorable group. Keep your expectations low ... very, very, very low and you won't be disappointed ... much.
He's not the only flagger. He can only flag once per post. The OP has three already.
