Ironman (IW) vs Coldsnap working as intended?

Ironman (IW) starts the fight with Molecular Armor, which is supposed to provide Coldsnap immunity. I've noticed that he is NOT immune to coldsnap at the start of the fight, but he IS immune if coldsnap is applied later in the fight from Iceman's special attacks. Is this the way it's intended to work? Or should he be immune at the start of the fight as well?
