The time has finally come...and it feels great. Things to consider...

Yesterday I made a pretty difficult decision. I decided to retire from my alliance, and I can already feel the weight lifted.
But i want to specifically break down why i decided to hang it up. I apologize ahead of time for the length of this post, but it will probably be my last so here goes.

Leadership: So the officer/leader portion of it was draining. We have had the same leadership for almost 3 years and it got stale. Those guys have crazy accounts and are kind of disconnected from the game. They had no motivation so i was the only one making changes. I told them over and over again we need new blood! But oh well.
When i joined we were 1400 war rating. We now hover from 2000-2200. Sad that i left at our peak, but it just was taking too much out of me. Constantly tagging people to move, reworking lanes, recruiting new members cause people are so burned out. Man the list goes on. It started to become a full time job. I personally think 30 members in alliances is too much.

Overload of Content: April was a crazy month for MCOC, it brought so much content to the game it just became overwhelming for me. I know you dont have to do all of the content, but to stay competitive you have to do a great portion of it. I mean we had a record high energy requirement to explore event quest, introduction of dungeons that reset every 24 hours, story mode, the Chadwick challenge, all while AQ and AW was going on. Oh, and the rifts. Cant forget those. I will never put that much effort into a rift again, soooo disappointed with the rewards. April was the worst month of MCOC for me, it completely drained me and my desire to play. So much effort for so little rewards makes me feel like Kabam really doesnt care about us.

AW Season 2: Not even going to go into the lack of information that we got in regards to season 2. Id rather focus on the fact that the rewards are virtually the same, Gold 1 is entirely too big, each BG clearing isnt really that fun anymore, diversity is annoying and piloting is becoming a huge issue that has yet to be directly addressed. Lastly, 55 days is just way too long for me. I think that was what made me make up my mind. I cannot commit to that, i just cant. Its May! spring is in full action i want to enjoy my spring and summer and not have to worry about moving in AQ at the family barbecue or taking care of my yard or something lol. And looking at the rewards, i said to myself this isnt worth a 55 day commitment.

AQ: Alliance Quest is by far the most boring portion of the game for me at this point. I do'nt even want to talk about sentinels, we have done that enough. But instead i want to talk about how boring it is. You know who you're going to fight every single fight and its so routine and its such a chore. The rewards are terrible, but the glory was great. Top end players are flooded with T4CC we don't even pop our T4CC crystals and most people have at least 50 map 5 crystals they don't want to pop so catalysts don't expire. Why T1 alphas are so hard to come by and aren't in map 5 crystals but are needed to rank up 5*s makes no sense to me, but hey. AQ needs a rework immediately imo. I also couldn't convince everyone to run map 3, not everyone could agree. Also, donations... what for? Get rid of them, or lower costs to enter AQ.

Lack of Gold: The gold crisis in MCOC has gone on far too long. I thought i could wait it out but i cant wait anymore. I waited months. I don't have time for arena, i just cant put up the numbers to get those milestones and battle chips. Just don't have the time. The gold system is based off of 4*.. We have people rank 2'ing their 6*.... like come on man its so blatant and obvious its insulting. They are holding on to gold so you just keep playing and never stop. Now they are offering it for $ deals smh, so dirty. Id rather work for my gold and complete content than buy it. Same thing they did wit T4CC, i wonder whats next.

MCOC is an amazing game, such a fun experience. I will still play, but on my own terms. Kabam this is an awesome game, do right by your customers man i would love to come back in a few months and see some great changes.

There are more reasons, but i just cant type anymore lol. thanks to whoever read this and if you have similar feelings please comment below. I would love to hear from you guys. OMG longest post ever lol ive got way too much time on my hands this AM.

I hope that kabam is listening. We are seeing this more and more in the forums. Burnout is real, and increasing.

Let me just tell you that the feeling isn't restricted to those in alliances. Lately, i log in collect crystals and log out...

I think this is what most of the community is feeling right now. I feel the same. I think they need to reduce the length of the aw seasons to no more 35 days. Even if they have to reduce the rewards it would still be better. Aq takes up way too much time and it’s no fun. I think the timers should permanently be set to 30 minutes. I could go on but don’t feel like it. Definitely agree with you.

I agree with 99% of what the OP said....the 1% is the gold...dungeons have provided fair amount of gold for me...

although I pulled Netflix dare devil with my infinity dust today :'(

I have only been playing the game a little over a year and it's crazy how much it's changed. Burnout is definitely something I have seen as ppl just up and quit without any notice. I have also noticed heavy hitters hoping onto lower alliances but then leaving after a few weeks. Very difficult to keep a group together and the overflow of content this month was just too much. Infinity dungeons is a great idea but it is just to hard to find 30 minutes to sit down and play straight, not when you work full time and have other interests. Most of my alliance is not playing them anymore as it's just not worth the time invested.

Yes, but why are you making a post about quitting your alliance and then saying you will play on your own terms.

If you feel like there’s too much then don’t do it. I’d much rather have a surplus of content and pick and choose what to do, than just be bored with only event quests.

The game better back in 2015 with quest AQ and arena only. People had more fun.

    A positive suggestion:

    - implement 30 minutes timer in AQ.
    - Implement 30 minutes timers to AW.
    - Make only 2 arenas visible depending on your level.
    - Dont add more game modes.
    - Re-invent AQ
    - Add units to uncollected map.

    - Add a 4 star hero as reward for uncollected in addition to the rewards.
    - increase 6star shards on uncollected to 3000.
    - Add 500 6 star shards to master.
    - Make 4 star arena hero a milestone reward.

It does not work that way.when content is available u are force to do it or others get way ahead of you.

Then that’s your choice, nobody is forcing you to do the content. If you want to stay competitive do the content or fall behind, it’s up to you if you want to. That’s why it’s called a contest.

@Rixob This is a good post. I’ve been in a semi-retired ally for several months now and I’m shocked at how much time my old mates spend as well as how much time I still spend just keeping up. I think when you feel like a semi-retired ally is too intense then you’re truly done.

Quick test for you: let some content just go, or let a few prized cats just expire without selling. If you can do that, then you’re in a good place.

    Cheers.

I am in the same boat. I enjoy mostly event quest and truly dont enjoy alliance events. Managing 30 people is a full time job most likely

The game needs a big overhaul!

I mean all alliance events are just boring now, no enjoyment in node removal is there, or completion, or arena combat! I am all for having little arena events, but the rewards need upped, and then the actual events do to.

How about making AQ/AW for 25 people, but keep an alliance at 30, something like that, so there is room and space for a few members to have a break for a week or 2...Otherwise with all this sharing accounts being cracked down, people will need to leave alliances for a holiday... that shouldn't be the case... this would remove pressure for a full 30 member team to be around constant...

It’s called having a debate/conversation. Just saying move on whenever someone brings up a different opinion is childish.

Asking to limit content based on your own personal time and freedom to play so others don't out play you is very shellfish

It is not me it is based on the amount of retirement growing up. There is no denial the turn around and burn out is growing a lot. It is more important to improve the content we have and have high quality content and game rather than more content and problems buggs and glitches everywhere.

For the health of the game we need a completely re design AQ with half the time required to complete. Shorther quest just like uncollected this months. Kudos to kabam for that.

Shorter alliance war. Less arenas etc.

Feel free to search me every now and then. What i mean by on my own terms is playing when i want, and choosing which content to tackle. Also wont have to move at certain hours of the day. Didnt think I would have to explain that....
