Not getting my rank rewards for top millstone

in Bugs and Known Issues
I've reached the top millstone before in the versus arena, but for some reason keep getting rewards for percentage placement instead of rank placement ( like it'll say my rank was 20-15% instead of rank 1) I feel like this is a bug. Shouldn't I be rank 1 if I reached the top millstone? Or is there something I'm not understanding? Please explain.

    Milestones are separate from Rank Rewards. You usually need to do much more than Final Milestone .

    How does it work then? Because I've been reaching top millstones like a mad man and still get low placement rewards. It even says you unlock rank rewards after reaching a certain milestone, which I assume means any milestones I reach after that point will go towards my progress in reaching a certain rank for rank rewards.

    Keyword there is unlocked. The moment you hit the final milestone you get put in the pool of players that also hit the final milestone, then your ranked reward is based on how many points you put up compared to everyone else that also unlocked ranked rewards.

    Literally works the exact same way as arena

    I landed at 1-10% rank reward pool for reaching 6,6 million points in blade basic arena and placed rank 2126. If I for example only had like for example 3 million points then I’m not placed in 1-10% rank reward but instead are placed below it.

    Score even more points lol, once you reach the milestone you can keep on going, it’s just whether you think it’s worth it too
