Should they keep putting Hyperion on ridiculous power gain nodes?

I'm really tired of him being put on 200% power gain and where drains just don't effect him

I had 2 different approaches to him. If anyone hasn't seem him, you can't really continually bait him as usual. It's a HUGE power gain and happens way too fast for baiting to be efficient enough without power control. Not your typical 50% like AW.
Option 1:
I used Iceman the first time and ate like 10 sp3's. It was pretty hilarious actually cause I never see Hype's sp3. You also gain power though so I'd followup with an Sp3 from Iceman which instantly regains his ice armor ready to eat another sp3 from Hype. It worked.
Option 2:
I used this one for the remainder completion paths. I used Magik (i have MD at 4/5). Got to Sp2, power locked and power drained him, then pretty much got fed instant sp2's for the rest of the fight. It was laughable. Sometimes over shooting to sp3 cause it happened so fast. It was sp2, block parry, sp2, block parry, sp2, block parry, sp3. Block Parry, combo, block parry sp2, sp2 etc.
