server maintenance issue

I've been playing trial of death and suddenly your server maintenance came in and it showed my entry chance has gone. I played until final node and came server maintenance. I was playing hard mode, 16000 team rating. So, is this a glitch or it is a rule of the game, please verify my doubt. Thank you.
