SP1 Lock Node in 5.3.5 Locking Power before Full Bar

So as the title says, I was playing 5.3.5 and took the SP1 lock node lane that also has Spectre node on it.
Everything was going great until the OG Black Panther node towards the end of the Lane. It was power locking me slightly before a full bar of power. As you might imagine the fight went poorly without being able to fire any specials.
