Why would the whales buy ascendant crystals? They already have expiring t4cc cats. And any whale would know the ascendant crystal is the most garbage crystal of them all.

Well by that logic they could take a break from AQ and let lower class alliances duke it out for top AQ rewards and without the hassle of Map 6 BS. But in reality the whales and top tier players can never have enough materials regardless of how much they cannot immediately use or let expire or sell even to get some value out of it. Top guys always want to stay at the top.

Also they could simply buy the crystals and stock them up for later or open them to inflate SA score for their alliance. Many things are possible for the whales.

I'm pretty sure the whales have tons of t4cc unopened due to them having enough materials.

I am nowhere near a whale and I have 3 t4cc to open, 4 skill and 5 cosmics expiring and 150ish t4 shard crystals to open.

Doubt the whales are even touching the offer to be honest and if they are it's solely for the chance at t2 alpha shards
