We found the issue that was causing some problems here, and are about to push a fix. This was a knock on effect of a back end fix that we had implemented. When this fix is live, Magik’s Special 2 will go back to acting like it did in the past. This means that if you use her Special 2 attack to Power Steal from a Champion that already has no power, it will “remember” how much power you had stolen the last time you did steal power, and give Magik that much back.
It is, and always has been possible, to gain no power this way. For example, if the first time you use her Sp2 is on a Champion with 0 Power, she won’t steal anything. This is how she has always functioned.
We expect to have this fix out by the end of the day today.

So, this was a bug? If so, then the quick fix is appreciated.

Wait, what? Do you have any idea why? This is literally the first time that Magik's power drain has ever been described this way. It doesn't say anything about "remembering" how much power was stolen in her ability description.

So.... this is the way her L2 works? Because I’ve never heard of this. So the first time you use her L2 in a fight and steal power is how much you will steal for the remainder of the fight? I’ve been around a long time and never heard of that.

Do you have any plans on updating Magik's character description to match what you just described? Currently it just states that it has a 100% chance to Power Steal, taking 33% enemy power as your own. No mention of enemy current power, or previous amount of power stolen. As an avid Magik user I would hate to see this champion's offensive prowess nerfed in the future as people could claim she isn't working as described. Which we know have precedence for with Archangel's changes.
@V1PER1987 I think they mean that the first time you use your sp2 with Magik you steal some power and you add power lock .Now if you use your sp2 while the power lock is on you will steal the same amount you did the first time ,if the power lock expires and the oppenent has some power you will steal that ammount .

Ah, ok. Well that makes more sense I guess. Still odd.

. And there you have it. A perfectly working champ, will now be "fixed" quickly because someone had to question why their attacker was doing something awesome. Face palm. Why oh why oh why? We just cant' have nice things anymore.
So one guy complains about this (let's not forget to mention that the original poster (different thread) also exposed the L1 spawn issue too), everyone else is upset about it because she might get NERF'd, and rightfully so, because a mod just stated that she is going to be "fixed" real soon.
How long has she been like this? Why not leave her the way she is, which at least gives her some ability to at least have some relative use against other OP and champs like Infinity Iron Man.

Magik gained power on her sp2 when her opponent had none because of mystic dispersion
EDIT:
Above comment was what I’d heard many players say when I started playing MCOC. Magik’s sp2 description says nothing about its 1st use determining how much power it will steal for the fight:

Never once has that explanation ever been in any of her ability write ups , her champion spotlights you posted or ever explained by any content creator let alone yourselves !
What I expect has happened is she was fixed from her obvious broken state and after it’s been so long you had that much back lash from those that rely on her you crapped your pants with all the “ I’m leaving Mcoc” comments you slid in an inappropriate excuse that goes against your very own developer content .
She was broken , you fixed her now you’ve had to revert her back to her broke state.
You need to change her information on her bio to accurately reflect what she’s capable of not just make stuff up which seems to be the norm when you’re backed into a corner by the wingers .

So, this is broken again?
It isn't doing that, tested on arena for 30 matches...

Bugged for me too. Not stealing the "remembered" amount, just what their power is currently.
Is anyone else having this issue with Magik again? Instead of stealing the same amount of power she did on the first sp2 (1 full bar), now she is only stealing what the opponent currently has if it is less than 1 bar.
