AQ/AW AI attacking after time is up

Was in a fight in AW and timer hit zero while I was in a combo. I finished the combo and all of a sudden the the opponent throws an S3,instant KO. Why is this even a thing. If the timer reaches zero the fight should just be over. I can understand if it was already used before the time expired but not after.

    The match is still live a few seconds after the timer ends. It's because the match take a few seconds to start

    Yeah, that doesn't seem right. I've recently initiated a special right as timer is hitting zero and had my animation start but none of the hits count as damage. In previous versions if I started the special the damage would count, I figured the change was just players getting screwed a little with a recent update. Your scenario is far worse than that.

    It’s part of the game mechanic. If the AI has 3 bars of power when timer ends, they will use their s3.
