Hulk (Ragnarok) and Domino Interaction

Hulk has a passive ability that gives him a 5% chance to SMASH on all attacks. Is failing to SMASH supposed to trigger Domino's degen?

When using Gladiator Hulk, you would actually want the degen on yourself, but it doesn't seem to apply. I'm a little confused if this is working as intended or not and would appreciate someone looking into it. Thank you :)

    Gulk is by far the best option ive found. I get the "face me" from her degen. But haven't see "smash " come up.

    I have tested as well, never noticed one smash triggering.
