Bleed immunity node bug?

So I was doing a merc mission the other day, and used X23 to fight the Proxima boss that had a bleed immunity node. When X23 hit Proxima it said "immune" but X23 wouldn't gain cruelty buffs. Is this a bug or does the immunity not count since it isn't in Proxima's base abilities?

Yep. Exactly that. That's why it survivalist states 'naturally bleed immune' in get description - only intrinsic immunity counts for X-23 and Electra to access their alternate effects (Cruelty and Armour Break).

I assume the same is true for Yondu; but don't play with him enough to be sure.
