Brackets explanation

Hey guys, may someone explain to me about the arena and event REWARD brackets? I've been playing for a while but I've always wondered about these. Thanks.

    New summoners (less than 60 days since they started playing the game) get grouped together to compete in arenas.

    Oh so the more experienced people are placed in a separate grouping with better rewards in events and a different leaderboard, right?

    They compete for the same rewards (basic champion) in arena. It's just that a summoner in the beginner or intermediate bracket will most likely not need to score as much as a summoner in the experienced bracket to get the same reward.
