Doctor Voodoo Bug

While using Red Hulk to fight Doctor Voodoo in Map5 section 2, Lane 8, I fully evaded DV's SP1 yet for some reason he still transferred Brother Daniel to me. Again, I did not get hit by any part of the special nor did I take any block damage. He in no way connected with me.
Then, same fight, I again fully evaded DV's SP1 and it transferred Brother Daniel back to DV. Unless I'm mistaken this should not be happening. Feel free to set me straight if I'm wrong.

    No part of that needs to hit to transfer to my knowledge. It’s like Rulk Sp1. No connect and it’ll work

    It's something that's done based on DV's combo counter when the SP is activated. Contact is not required for it to transfer.
