Act 5.1 exploration

Is act 5.1 easier to explore than act 4?
Need an awakening gem

It's smaller than Act 4, but I found the difficulty a little higher. Used quite a few more potions/revives than Act 4.
My champs aren't the best for it though, so harder for me probably than it should have been.
