Alliance help

Today, the Alliance help event has come, and as I hit the "help" button, it won't give me points to the event. In the description of the event it says "help your alliance mates," in which I have been doing, by going to the alliance tab and pressing help. If I am doing this wrong, make it more clear on what to do. If not, fix your game.
