There is red skull. Now go to the announcement page and it states you can get a 2* version of any champ that is needed from cinematic crystals. Red skull is not listed but there he is.
Yeah, this is just proof that you haven't actually done the quest kiddo.
Looks like Red Skull is the boss, doesn't mean he's the gate character you need to proceed with 100% completion.
If I'm wrong I'll accept it. I'm at the point with this game I just expect kabam to throw something in that makes things annoying.
I can understand your frustration but to post stuff without even trying or fully investigating it is not the right answer either. Perhaps if you have reached that level of frustration with the game that everything has to get reported as being wrong then you need to take a step or a break from the game.
Personally I am very fortunate to have used marvel insider and got iron man iw so I need to get that wasp but wil be trying to get every exclusive two star and then getting them duped
Same here. I Grind every new 3* I can, for collection purposes and testing. Easy to Awaken, easy to get. Missed Wasp because I was tired that day. Lol.
I have noticed there seems to be a lot of confusion over the new quest, how the schedule for it will work, and how we can obtain the specific champions needed to 100% explore the quest. This confusion seems to be causing some outrage around this event when really it is one of the best things I think we've seen come to the contest in a while now. So I wanted to make a post that will hopefully clear up some of the confusion and help to get everyone excited for what promises to be an awesome month (if they can just fix the heating issues).
Week 1: August 1st - August 8th
1: First set of 5 cinematic quests
2: Champions required (any *): Iron Man, Hulk, Warmachine, Thor, Captain America OG
Week 2: August 8th - August 15th

3: First set of 5 cinematic quests continued
4: 2* Cinematic Crystal available in arena quickmatch

Now I know this may look like a lot, but if we trust Kabam that these are "Popcorn" sized quests, then they will be very short and easy to run through in a couple minutes. Taking a look at the total of all the rewards...
I'd say that these quests seems quite manageable for the payout rate. It is basically two extra 5* crystals (with chances at some top tier champions) on top of what we can get from the EQ. Counting all the 5* shards from duping 4* champions, that's three 5* champions just from running the easy quests this month! Which is awesome and I am thoroughly excited for them. I hope this helped clear any lingering confusion that there has been.
Note: The 2* cinematic crystal has a chance to award the basic version of one of the following champions
Iron Man
Hulk
Warmachine
Thor
Captain America
Hawkeye
Iron Patriot
Loki
Winter Soldier
Star-Lord
Ultron
YellowJacket
Black Panther (Civil War)
Mordo
Yondu
Spider-Man (Stark Enhanced)
Thor (Ragnarok)
Killmonger
Iron Man (Infinity War)
Wasp
Thanks, this helps.
One question though. Do we need to 100% complete all difficulties to get the 5 star cinematic crystal or do we just need to 100% complete the epic difficulty?
I would assume that seeing as the 5* cinematic crystal is the top reward one would need to 100% all difficulties, but I don't think Kabam has actually confirmed that yet.

The real question is how hard will it be to get the one character you need from the quickmatch arena crystal. I have three I need to get and I am expecting to have to grind out at least 100 before I actually get all of them.

Yeah, their wording is poor. In the game it appears as if you would only need to 100% the epic path. The 5 star cinematic crystal is shown as the 100% reward for the Epic difficulty, similar to the monthly quest.

This is my only problem with this event. If I can't get Wasp or Killmonger to drop from a crystal I'm screwed on having 100% completion. Luckily I just pulled a 5* IMIW.

So here's something that really confuses me. Kabam comes out with Infinity Dungeons and puts a prestige cutoff for the 5* basic crystal. And now we have the epic difficult which isn't really that hard and they are throwing around 5* crystal like nothing. I'm not complaining, but this basically allows anyone with even a decent 3* lineup to get a 5* hero. My prestige was way over the cutoff during Infinity Dungeons so I didn't have to worry about it, but I image it kind of sucked for those who didn't make that cutoff. Either way I like the new event, I just think that Kabam's consistency is pretty random.

We still don't know what the following weeks will look like. Also, there's a difference between one 5* and a few. I can see how that would offset the balance for someone newer.

It's possible that they see this scenario differently. I didn't grind the Infinity Dungeons (not enough time in my day) but it was my understanding that players could get multiple 5* crystals based on how much of the <whatever the currency was> they had. In this scenario everyone gets crystal, but it's just one. Also, some will be screwed because they don't have a big enough roster. Hell, even those with a large roster might be screwed because they didn't grind for 3* characters that are new.
Well, I just spent 350 Units trying to get Wasp. I think it would be best to wait for the 1 Vs. 1 in a week. Lol. Thought I would try my luck. Landed a few 2*s I didn't have though.

True, wasn't there also a cutoff for milestones in Infinity Dungeons though? So that would have made sure that those with lower prestige couldn't get as many dark artifacts. I think if you didn't make the top prestige cut you could only get a maximum of two 5*'s. This event pretty much allows you to get two 5* if you 100% everything, so I guess it just depends on how difficult it gets.

How did you spend 350? isn't the cost 150 and 300? I don't think I am going to push my luck on any FGMC... I just popped 1 Corvus crystal and pulled him as 4*. I had an awakening gem and a r4 to r5 gem so I was able to max him out right away. I'm feeling I can't repeat that though.

pretty sure its just 100% epic as the other difficulties have 100% rewards of their own
Not during the quests available this week, maybe they will get harder in the upcoming weeks
Thank you.

You can't get the crystals from quickmatch until August 8th. But it will be in the "Arena" tab.
I think they meant it to be easy for everyone. It's more of just an event for everyone to have fun on is what I gathered from Mike's post.
