Thanks to glory units and raccoon's scrap, I have an opportunity now to level up one of these to rank 4.

The champ will probably get into AW Defense as priority.
Which one is good and on which buffed tile?

    Ultron. He serves well on nodes that prevent stun.

    Thor, Starlord, Elektra, and Captain America are better served as offense.

    Ultron is best suited for defense of the champs you listed. As ThatSausage said, the rest are better for offense. Thor: armor break and fury. Elektra: ability accuracy reduction. Storm: high damage special attacks. Captain America: fatigue and stun. Starlord: ever-increasing damage with combo meter.

    Ultron could be decent for defense for where you are at (assuming lower tier). Once you get to higher tiers, Ultron's utility for defense will drop. We've been fighting him almost constantly for 2 years now, so have had plenty of practice. Since healing no longer interacts with nodes, his usefulness for AW defense isn't what it once was. He still has evade which can catch a lot of people if they aren't careful. But as his usefulness for defense drops, his usefulness elsewhere increases. His healing, immunities, ability to armor up from blocks rather than direct hits, etc., really make it so that he remains useful no matter where you are in the game. He really is an incredibly versatile champ.

    Ultron is no longer that great in AWD as regen was nerfed for hp buffed nodes.
    The best defense champs there are probably storm on an AON node or Thor on an AoN node.
    Ultron can still be good in lower tier AW on an unstunnable node he's just not as good as he was.

    Sl, Elektra, Cap are all better suited for offense.

    All of those are pretty much offensive champs, with Ultron as a maybe for defense. Agree that the regen isn't as big of an issue even on no-stun nodes. Most defensive champs are those that are tough to fight for some like AV, Spidey, Hyperion, Mordo, NC etc. or match very well with the node on which they're placed (Juggs on power gain).
