Why is iron patriot in the cinematic crystals?

I mean, he isn't in any of the movies.
Although one could argue that Norman Oswald is in the Spider-Man movies, just not as IP, and they are Sony movies, not Marvel.
I'm very curious why this decision was made to bring the champs up to 20 when they could've just added other champs that have been in the movies, plenty left.
Not expecting an answer from kabam, so please speculate the *bleep* out of this 👍🏻

But that still doesn't make the games iron patriot the same person as the movies version. But I'll buy it 👍🏻
Iron Patriot in the game and Iron Patriot in the film are completely different characters.
They could have easily skipped him altogether. Loki is in there twice as boss this week.
They really should have read up on the character.
Did laugh at the HItchhiker’s pun though. More or less the only smile this run managed to grab, the rest of the ‘humour’ was severely lacking and bland.
