Started playing a week ago - help!

As title says, I started playing a week ago and am utterly lost. I have a couple of questions, if anyone would be kind enough to help out...

1. Should I be in an alliance as I'm not yet lvl 17 and can't do quests/wars? I feel like I'm freeloading, but I don't see any other way to get loyalty at this point
2. Masteries: I know I need parry/dex asap (can't get yet - I'm only lvl 9) but all the mastery guides I've looked at always emphasise a certain style of playing (eg. focus on alliance wars/quests etc)
3. Best way to get 3* champions? I only have two3* from crystals I got from 1v1 in arena rn
4. I have no idea what all the acronyms thrown around mean - PI? RoL? aaaahh

Any help generally would be awfully kind and much appreciated - thanks! :smiley:

    Don't sell champs and Use your units on masteries...

    Pi= Power index
    RoL= Realm of Legends

    Watch youtube videos as well. Lots of great info out there. Focus on Act 1 first and work your way through that. Don't worry about alliances at the moment. They wont do a lot of good for you until you get a good amount of champs. start ranking champs up that are your highest star or duplicates (silver stars).

    Unless you know someone who plays this game, you will get kicked, you will not find a good home in your first few tries. Dont get disheartened. This is a deep game and a lot of us have played for awhile. keep pushing! play how you want, but listen to others just a little.
