Chaining combos into specials now being blocked (and floating kicks)

I’ve been playing this game since nearly the beginning. Of late, since perhaps the last update or the one prior, specials following a five hit combo that previously connected are being blocked a significant amount of the time.

Another thing I have noticed is if a champ finishes their combo with a kick, they seem to float down very slowly. This is quite noticeable to me.

I’m wondering if this extended float time following a combo is preventing chaining a combo afterwards.

I apologize if this has been discussed already. Anyone else experiencing this?

This is extremely annoying.
