Display maintenance alerts
Maintenance is a pain and a very costly one at that. Someone may buy a 60% single revive and a few level 5 health potions and go into a fight only to have their champion KO'd by maintenance.
Now I'm aware that of the in-game mail messages about scheduled maintenance a day in advance but a lot of people forget and usually don't think they have to check whether the game is randomly going to go down or not.
So a simple solution that a lot of server based RPG MMO's use is a message in the game chat (global) and a pop up message such as: "Server maintenance will begin in 10 minutes". A few pop up reminders over the course of the hour before maintenance would certainly help players as they would know not to attempt hard content in this period. If this could also happen for emergency maintenance (even though it is not always predictable) then the outrage over servers being down and revives/items being wasted would be significantly less.
(TLDR; Have in-game reminder pop-ups before servers going down over the course of an hour).
Let me know what you guys think, I reckon this would be an enormous improvement for the communication between Kabam and the players.
