Send surplus Champions on side-quests for resources?

Hi - as summoners progress through the game, we end up with huge rosters of champions but probably only ever actively use a handful of favourite champions on a regular basis. Even if we have champions committed to AW, AQ and story events, we end up with more champions than we can really use in a play session and often a load of 1 and 2 star champions that probably only ever come out to unlock a gate or to grind Arena.
My suggestion is to introduce a side quest game, wherein we can assign champions to undertake side-missions in the background that are completed over time, with a chance of success and reward determined by the quality and number of champions assigned - making use of your roster whilst you play the active game or are even offline.
Admittedly this idea is completely inspired by games like Neverwinter and Transformers (where you could send your followers to grind resources or craft items whilst your main Champion fought the good fight), but that's not to say this principle couldn't be useful in MCOC. Summoners would have a way of gaining much needed resources like gold or iso without a huge investment of game time and it would provide a monetisation opportunity for Kabaam (through increased % success or drop items, reduce timers and so on).
