However I've been presented with a slightly tempting upgraded for my war defense team

BPCW is kinda the lowest of the low. However, he might have his uses given reflexive armor, but this can easily be countered by parry or dex. Extended m1 hitbox is useful but, as I said about reflexive armor, it can easily be countered. Just stick with GP.

Definitely. I enjoy constructive criticism. I'll keep him at r2 as a decent war defender till something better comes along.

Better to save your catalysts for a better skill defender if thats's what your looking for. Or just a better Skill Champion in general.

As, EnderDraco58 said, yes his reflexive armor is useful, but can be countered. Unless you have him on a bleed immune, or poison immune node in AW defense, he can also easily be chewed up and spit out by any AA.

And hey, maybe you'll even get that Blade everyone is looking for as a 5*! Good luck to you.

Don’t rank him at all. He used to be a good defender. Now everyone knows how to counter him. Waste of resources.
