5.2.6 COLLECTOR TAKEDOWN!

Hi guys,

So basically thanks to the Summoner Appreciation week I have managed to get to 5.2.6.
I have read that the main requisites are plenty of revives and units (around 1000?) which I am building up, also thanks to the Halls of Healing event.

At the moment I'm running a team of
- Blade 5/50 duped
- Stark Spidey 4/40 (to become 5/50 soon) duped
- Classic Spidey 5/50 duped
- X-23 3/45
- GP 2/35

My other options are:
- Nebula 3/45
- PM 2/35
- Ultron 4/40 duped
- Phoenix 2/35
- Guillotine 4/40 duped
- Elektra 4/40 duped
- AA 4/40
- Iceman 4/40

I know my 5* are still at low level but I've got some boosts.

Any tips from you guys? I just cannot wait to get this dude in the bin!
Thanks all and happy gaming

I would sub in someone for Spidey OG... He's not that good. Watch some videos on how to beat the collector practice your intercepts and you must play around the Bane node. It does massive damage at the beginning of the fight because his health pool is so large. Once you have drained a lot of his health it becomes much more manageable. When I fought him I would often times just try to get as much damage in before he uses a special because they almost always kill you. Sometimes this just means holding your block and waiting for him to heavy so he doesn't use his specials while you are trying to parry him. If you play well you shouldn't need 1k units.

Any suggestion for the sub? Nebula's bleed immune so somehow that'd help me out mainly with Yondu, but overall I would use her with PM for those 10 extra charges at the start. At the same time PM would take someone else in the team but I wouldn't change Blade/SE Spidey/X-23.

    Iceman for SP3 counter?

actually... I like that he's bring OG spiderman here. people completely under value him, and classic spiderman can put up more damage than all of his other options and more than even blade can do. the fact that he has evade can keep him in the game IF SMClassic evades the specials. and if you get to that SP2 it's lights out. you only need one maybe 2 parries and it's backdraft intercepts from there.

also to the OP, if you have a 3/45 champ like Nebula then take out Gwen Pool. she does need to ramp up a bit to her sp3 and that's just not gonna happen. You'll get more use out of Nebula. I have seen people use Nebula against the collector for a nice chunk of damage. Gotta get the stars to align though. Anyway, Nebula at 3/45 is going to hit harder than GP in the end, will offer you immunities along the way as well.

And stark is a very good champ to throw in there also. he'll stay in the fight longer.

If you sub PM in with Nebula I would take out Spidey and GP, GP because shes only r2. Collector sp3 auto kills all champs so Iceman wont help. Just so you know, Yondu only causes bleed on his 2nd and 4th light attacks, so if you can get him to dash in and then you parry him there is no risk of you getting a bleed effect. Keeping your distance is key so he only uses medium attacks.

Problem is that OG spidey will evade one hit but then get hit by the next hit in rapid succession before you have a chance to block. Evade is a mechanic I hate trying to play with. It is random and you never know when it will happen which makes it difficult to strategize around. You are much safer playing a champ that won't evade randomly so you don't risk getting hit more times from the advanced AI that this game has.

@mum_m2 that's the thing, his SP2 and overall crits are insane even without class advantage. He was actually my first 5/50 and I'm pretty comfortable playing him while @Werewrym I have to get more confident with PM.
That's not much of a big deal because there's time to practice.
However yeah thinking about it I would swap GP, I won't be able to rank her up soon.

    Cheers guys!
