Cancel what i was typing on the forum

Its just so annoying when i am typing something to add on to the discussion, i suddenly realise my point is void and i want to cancel my message. Unfortunately, there is no way to cancel commenting. They should add a cancel button to the comment textbox.

Edit* more accurately, this problem occurs when i want to quote someone. After quoting them, i realise my point is void, but there is no way i know of to cancel my quoting. If someone knows the way please enlighten me

You can always just highlight the text and remove it can't you?
That's what I do anyway. That cancels what I was typing, and usually I just stick in three dots (...) to emphasize to the draft saving that it changed.

Whenever I then want to reply, three dots are easily removed.

A cancel button clearing everything would be nicer though, definitely.

The save feature only saves the draft, not the actual comment. You still have to hit post.
