Matchmaking advise

Whathappened

I'm an experienced player with a new second account. It's about 2 months old. The alliance isn't strong enough for 3 battlegroups yet but matchmaking time is killing us. Every week I start matchmaking as soon as possible but by the end of the week there's a good chance we will miss out on the third war due to long matchmaking time.
Any advice would be appreciated.
