Stark spidey auto evade against Emma frost

Can someone please explain why when fighting new frost stark spideys auto evade NEVER occurs I was relying on it the first time around trying to learn her special moves and how to dodge them and it just won't work is this a passive or her duped ability? I haven't read anything about her so can someone please tell me why this is happening(or not happening)

    There is something on her abilities that doesn't let the opponent to evade

    When she uses her specials, she activates her telepath form, and when she's in her telepath form, she "reads the opponents moves" and prevents evades from activating
