Ambush NC Master EQ

I looked for this, and couldn't find another post on it so here's my question.

In chapter 2, NC ambushes before red cyke pi 8k, and in Master, his pi is 11k. I did that chapter on uncollected a while ago, so i don't remember if that was comparable to the uncollected version. Is this supposed to be this way, or is it an error?

Either way, it's not a huge deal, he was easy enough to beat.
