Mephisto SP2 Failing to Hit

This is probably not a bug, but does anyone with Mephisto ever have an issue where you use a normal 5 hit combo (LLLMM) and immediately after that use an SP2, but the first hit completely misses so the opponent has a chance to block and kill you?

    when fighting against higher rating opponents, sometimes the SP123 went out of your control.
