is there anything captain marvel can do utility wise or is she just a damage brawler?

They are both poison immune .
They both can armor break
Marvel has a better synergy team, and when awakened has a pretty strong indestructible boost.
Medusa is better for longer fights ,
But captain marvel can make long fights very short.
Overall,
They do much of the same thing. If you are in late game content I think marvel is the better champion.
However, i also have a 5/50 sig99 cap marvel that i will sometimes bring when im using Fury and shes completely insane. I can imagine what a 5/65 would be like. The 4 star is hitting 15k heavy attacks, thats with the energy damage and at pretty much max potential without suicides or boosts as in synergies with 5 fury binary and 3 or 4 armor breaks but this is easy to do, it just happens normally and shes incredibly fun.
Medusa is also very fun to play and was my first love and first r5 so out of loyalty id choose her but i could see a serious argument made for cap marvel instead. Gotta parry some first fight but i just do parry med med parry med med and drop a sp3 and then its on and easy to stay there for the whole quest usually, can heavy counter on their side of map so they land at the wall and heavy counter will stun for 2.5 secs then get in 2 more heavies and get 9 charges back in 3 seconds. What a hard choice lol
