All the things listed are things most people leaving the game have issues with, not just the top players. Honestly, top players leaving won't change a thing, the runner ups will become the new "top players" and will continue to feed Kabam. Yeah the MCoC community is easily influenced but when it comes to dropping the game completely, most wouldn't do it, especially the top players. I'm very sure that the only way for them to stop playing is when Kabam completely kills MCOC
Unfortunately, this is not necessarily true. While you are correct in the sense that new "top players" will emerge within the game itself, what you're missing out on is the amount of money these players spend. The next wave of "top players" may not be willing to spend like the current crop. There's a rule of thumb in most things in life, including business, where 80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers, and vice versa. Losing that 20% can be crippling to any business. All guessing at this point as we don't have their financial numbers. And the reality that people are likely bluffing remains. But it does go beyond a simple replacement of the top talent.
who cares about 6 stars when they first come out they will be collector items the way I see it.. and as of right now 4 stars can beat every content in the game including Legend of Labyrinth.. so if you have a 5 star (which we will be able to max out now at rank 5) pretty you don't need to worry about 6 stars.. yea they are coming next year but who cares just focus on 5 stars they are still the future
why are so many people moaning? for the top players its a chance to get new champs and possibly have more of a variation of champs to use to finish harder content such as LOL rather than only been able to use a select few. Im still quite new to the game in respect to most of the community and i have a grand total of 3 5*s which i have only just started acquiring over the past couple of months but i'm not moaning because they are now bringing out champs i won't be able to get for another X amount of time. In regards to complaining about spending real life money on getting 5* champs and ranking them up etc you only have yourself to blame, maybe you should of bought a holiday instead rather than spending hard earned money on a computer game champ in a game that in the real world doesn't actually matter and especially when the game eventually in the future will probably die or get replaced with a new updated marvels game. as the saying goes 'more fool you' for spending money. You either get on with however they decide to progress the game and enjoy it or just don't play, simple.
I don't see how 6* can allow them to make any content that can't be made now. That argument seems ridiculous to me, as they control all nodes and jack up the stats in harder content anyway. The defender star level makes no difference other than CR (which some will argue is big and others small), so using that as a defense makes no sense to me. If it wasn't about spending on 6* champs, then we would be able to advance at least one or two of our champs or they would just add another currently unobtainable rank (6/75) to keep us invested in our current roster. Bases, survival modes, some kind of CoD prestige system for players stuck at lvl 60....just something to freshen up the game.
You say many well quit. Well many more we'll start playing again. You say there getting board with not getting new content yet the 6* is adding new content. Those who like the challenge we'll continue on. Those who cheated their way to the top will of course quit as they been getting more strict on rules. Out of all the horrible changes this one is a awesome change. Unlike when they merged the overseas servers with ours.
Honestly, if people are going to quit because they're adding something new, then chances are they were on the verge either way. It's not the end of the game. It just means things are changing. Perhaps they don't want to put effort into something new. Who knows. Nothing stays the same forever. People will still play. It just means there will be a new top. Lol.
6 stars is not adding something new. It gives the illusion of adding something new, but it really isn't. They are the same as 5*, which were the same as 4* which were the same as 3*, which were the same as 2*s. This isn't new, it is just a repeat of what you have done several times. Its like saying you're doing something new because you threw the colored linens in the washing machine. It really isn't any different than throwing the white linens in.
I'm sure they expect that. If you think about it from kabams perspective, it's a good way to purge the old accounts and encourage the younger accounts to spend and catch up. Win for them because more players bunch up near the top and competition gets more intense
Well, ny theory is that it's slightly less calculated than that, as far as targeting Players. I believe it has more to do with raising the cap. By introducing 6*'s, they are able to offer more challenging content, and allow people to Max their 5*'s without making such an extreme in separation. It's just expanding the game.
Very lazy way to expand the game. There are loads of things you can do that would excite everybody, but they picked the easiest and least interesting thing they could possibly do.
What are vets to do? Stick around and keep spending? All to watch it lose stock over the next year? The veil behind the game team's scramble for money has become very thin. Instead of new content, we are given rebranded heroes with another star. No thanks. Shame is the gameplay is very fun; I've fought In countless aq's, wars and arena matches- still enjoy the mechanics. Kabam could add other outlets of gameplay (based, new masteries, challenges, gear, gauntlet style towers, etc...) but time and time again goes for the low hanging fruit (pushing new champions that are higher in prestige, adding another star, challenger rating...etc..) to drive revenue. Well...the playerbase is seeing it again as they did with 12.0. Kabam/ listen to us! We want to help you design a game that both creates revenue AND great content. Right now...you have put revenue ahead of the player experience.
So....don't change anything to allow people to stay where they're at and not have to put new effort in?
This wasn't effort, this was lazy. Effort would be creating new and dynamic alliance content. Providing previously promised content like bases. Create completely new type of solo events and quests. That will take time, planning and effort. Adding a star does not take any of those.
A game like this has to have something to strive for. The last thing was Labyrinth, and unfortunately, after that everything went stale. Now the next thing they have chosen to have people strive for is 6*. If this is method, one new thing to strive for every couple of years while just putting slight spins on what is existing, the game will begin to become dull.
Hopefully, the introduction of 6* will allow them to create the new content like they said, but unfortunately, they said the same things about all the changes they made in 12.0, and the content has not really changed all that much while adding a slew of problems, some that just seem to be getting worse(unresponsive, unreliable parry timing, etc.)
Right we haven't even gotten R5 5* yet and very few people have more than 3 R4 5*. Game is progressing slow because they want to make sure you stay in for what's next, but it's doing the opposite. People are getting bored. And, don't say I don't know...I do :-)

But a good chunk of those 'top' are the bigger spenders, there are some coming up but not as many or the volume. So if they are looking for revenue the net sum game may well result in lower overall revenue for them. If that happen no game continues to grow but dies
The game has more revenue than the Top Allies.
@GroundedWisdom can you substantiate your response? How do you know what portion of revenue coming from top alliances compared the rest of players?
You are passionate in in explaining the merits of adding the new 6* champs in weirdo way. Unless you are kabam employee disguised as normal summoner.

I am not a Kabam Employee. Implying such is actually against the rules.
Consider the yearly income. Consider the number of people in the Top Allies. The numbers don't add up to be from one specific group alone. The statement gets thrown around these discussions to imply that their feedback should be listened to because they are keeping the game going. Kabam values all its customers. I just like to remind people that the Top Allies are not the only ones who spend money and the game would not fold if they left. Not that I want anyone to leave. I just don't agree with the "We're the top. We make it possible.". Everyone who contributes helps make it possible.

This is it.
I am waiting for them too

They should add another level of difficult not change the current ones. Master/Heroic/ETC. should be left alone.
Many bugs remain, summoner levels haven't changed and tier 5 basic cats haven't been released
Seems as if kabam missed a few steps along the way
