Champion can parry heavy hits???

Did some arena today, was using Cap IW against the champion. The champion parried one of my heavy hits. No resist, just a parry.

    The only callout was 'parry'. Nothing else

    Stand your ground mastery is correct. Up to a 50% to resist a heavy. It can lead to parry much like auto block does.

    It is possible to parry a heavy attack, but your timing has to be more than perfect...done it a few times on accident lol. There was a time you could also parry/stun Special 1s and 2s, but that has since been removed.

    Stand Your Ground is what brings up the “resist” note, but it does not determine whether or not you can accidentally parry a heavy attack, different mechanic.

    It was resisted most likely but with parry active the timing also makes it a parry, and the parry fallout must overrule resist
