Nova Flames vs Variant 3 Kang?

So I have been stuck on the last quest due to continuously messing up in the path/boss and quit a couple of times, I may try again sometime soon. Does Human Torch's Nova Flames work against Kang's regen or only his normal incinerates?

    Are you talking about the life snapshot ability (or whatever its called) where he gets all his life back? I though only shock worked on this?

    Unfortunately those Nova flames don't keep him from regenerating.

    Nova flames are not incinerate effects. It will not work
