Game hanging when tried to select side for monthly event quest

When I tried to collect my key for selecting side from in-game mail box, game got stuck on home screen. I can't do anything from there. Game does not respond. I tried re-installing the game with no use. Anyone else facing the same issue? Can someone guide me to get out of this?
