So about Ghost rider -

I just awknd him after i got him from gwenpool goes to the movies event.

So i used my sig stones on him too.
Since my other teo options were mephisto and dormamu.

So in his abilities 1851 bleed over 4 second in total. Not per tick.

And his damnation 775.
Both of those were increased after each sig stones i placed on him

The result i got after testing against rol winter Soldier is tremendously unsatisfactory.
He is really really mediocre. Really.
People say he is a good champion.
But am i doing something wrong?
And his fury after finishing a 5 hit combo with a medium doesn't Activate twice or his bleed or even regeneration.

U have to throw a full cycle sp3 to get those going every time. It was such a long fight. Unbelievable.
Sig 70 5 star rank 4 ghost rider.
Took nearly 300 hit to took him down.
I hardly saw any gold no. In terms of damage. I mean not higher than 4k.
Seriously.

If i am doing something wrong the. Then appreciate any information in the comment section.
But if i am not. Then seriously i don't know what the fuss is all about. But ghost rider only has some use in bleed immune match ups and an amazing senergy for blade. That's all.
Tremendously mediocre champ.
And outdated. Can't believe i used 38 of my mystic gem on him.

Obviously he doesn't have incenerate ability or poison immunity. Nothing.
Seriously. There is a weak point inside infamous OG holy Trinity.

We do not need more immunity’s for ghost rider this topic has been beaten to death he does not need it

I am not talking about immunity. And i know how old and rusted this topic is. Although here i talked about incenerate ability also. U know like inflict incenerate.
    Anyway.

Been playing this game over 3 years bro.
I think this is the first time made horrible investment.
38 sig stones to him. Dormamu would have been a better option.
It was a good investment taking ghost rider to rank 4. I don't complain. He saved me from some difficult situation back in act 5 initial run.
But after becoming cavilier after 3 years making sich a bad call. 38 mystic sig stones r.i.p. It stings s bit that's all. I mean boy he is really outdated once u r cavilier. Can't use him anywhere. To be honest.

I don’t use my r4 sl and I’m not complaining
My god... Lockdown truely took out every bit of energy from everyone.
This thread is not a complain. It's in general discussion. And the header should have wrote something different.
"Worst in game dicision u ever made"
    P.s.
    Attention is overrated bro.
Just a discussion. Share your worst dicision and move along

Remember with each curse the duration of subsequent curses gets extended so, you can choose what's more useful to you and try to do the other curses first and get that one last for max duration. You can drop the sp3 and then go for the regen, fury, bleed or fate seal before the timer runs out. I like him and have him at r4

If you get used to the play style of GR, you can bring him to Map 5 above without much worry of energy refill. He is suitable for long fight.

GR isn’t a damage champion, he’s there for utility primarily.

His fate seal is pretty useful, though I do wish you could refresh it without having to go through an sp3 cycle.

If you play him right he’s got enough juice to carry you over the line and you’ll probably have a yellow bar at the end too. There’s very few champions with such reliable regen on demand.

Yeah, the guy’s a little bit of a noodle but he’s an old champ and he’s just showing his age a little bit in 200k+ health pool fights. I’d still put him in my team over ½ the mystics in the game and probably over a good ⅔ of the champions in the game.

Are you stacking the judgments before putting the bleed and fury on?

What you are doing wrong is trying to use GR for the wrong thing imo... i have used him in AQ about a billion times, his health steal and bleed immunity is great. He is never going to kill that WS efficiently. Why don't you use him in AQ and maybe incusions where you need to have a champ that can run a marathon. You said you also have mephisto, I've used a GR, Mephisto, and Sybiote Supream team in AQ a lot because that synergy makes mephisto a beast, and mephisto and GR have crazy sustainability.

i love my Rider! he's a beast in AQ and just overall .. the health steal alone saved me a billion times. Fate Seal, Bleed Immune ...
  • CassyCassy Member Posts: 1,078 ★★★
And dont put only blade in.
Night thrasher is far more valuble as He extends the duration of some judgements.

I really don’t like him tbh
  • ShrikeTzuShrikeTzu Member Posts: 40
You don't have to like him, but he is NOT a waste of resources. Seems to me the thread is about his lack of damage, if you need a big yellow numbers champ then rank up big yellow numbers champs ;)
  • Panchulon21Panchulon21 Member Posts: 2,605 ★★★★★
Judgement order is very important. Against immune champ i always place the bleed judgment first, then go for the rest. Against champs who bleed it’s usually second to last before special 3. Long fights I don’t even use the regen until a absolutely needed (don’t really use him much anymore. Last time was 6.1)
  • EtjamaEtjama Member Posts: 7,981 ★★★★★
When are people going to learn that damage isn't all that matters? He has bleed immunity, a great blanket nullify and fate seal, power drain, power lock, and an amazing regen that can easily keep you going for whole quests. You get to have all the utility, but also get to focus on the piece that you want and prolong it by a ton. I do agree that he's a bit overrated. I'd say he's below Mojo and above The Hood for whatever that means to you, but just because his damage ain't amazing doesn't mean that he's a "mediocre champion"

Ghost Rider is an awesome champ @007md92.

My Awakened GR was my first 5/65 champion; and having taken my first run though LOL recently, he can take on that content easily, with no synergies.

But he's a Utility champ, so there's more to him than just pure damage.

The thing is, you need to actively think about using him, and decide what you're going to prioritize at any particular point in the fight. Then you need to inflict your judgements in an order to maximise their effect.

Buff control? Cycle SP1 and SP3.
Power control? Focus on SP2 and SP3.
Damage? Focus on Fury and Bleed
    Regeneration? Life Steal
Debuff immunity: you're in trouble. But focus on Fury and Regeneration to keep you in the fight.

Remember, the SP3 isn't about inflicting DOT, it's about simultaneously controlling Power, Healing and Buffs. You can't expect crazy damage as well as all that

**Key point 1: Each Judgment makes subsequent judgements longer**

Think about your opponents abilities and adjust your tactics: Bleed immune? Throw MLLLL first thing. No Buffs? Get that SP1 out of the way. No SP3 enabled? No need to save those power control judgements.

**Key point 2: It isn't throwing the SP3 that resets your Judgements. That happens when the Damnation rebuff ends so you want to throw your most important Judgment after the SP3**

You want to maximise damage against WS? Well, you don't really need buff control or power control, so try this rotation:
    SP1
    SP2
    Heavy/Regen
    SP3
    MLLLM Fury
    MLLLL Bleed

As a 4/55 champ, your GR has 1763 Attack and the Bleed inflicts 1851 damage over three seconds.

At the end of the rotation above, you'll have a Fury taking your Attack to 2923 for 30 seconds. That should be long enough to take you most of the way back to SP3.
And your Bleed will last 14.5 seconds, so with the Attack boost, it'll inflict roughly 14,573 damage.

Any time you need to recover chip damage, swap the positions of your Bleed and Life Steal judgements.

    Does that sound any better?

He isn't about pure damage; but can do decent damage when Awakened. He makes up for his base damage being modest by being so adaptable to many situations - Bleed/Biohazard paths, Rage paths, Explosive Personality, All or Nothing. WS isn't the best test for him. Play around with him more, against more varied opponents (particularly Villains, where he'll have a higher Crit rate), and see if you start to like him better.

Wow. That is a lot of info. Detailed. Thank you. I do not hate him or anything like that. Like i said he helped a lot.
    And a lot.
May be i did the same thing i ask others not to do. Which is get suddenly pass damage base judgment and criticise a champ. Kinda feel silly i did that about non other than ghost rider.
I rank up champs i love and enjoy. And learn their style of play. Rider is my one of the top favourite champs in marvel universe.
And my one of the first rank 4. Him with start spidey and a 4 star blade. They helped me on act 5 like no one else did.
    Absolutely.
May be i forgot that with having my current roster. And having atleast 2 good champions from every class made me forget my OG gold ones.
I was a bit overwhelmed i suppose and made this post. Using those sig stones.
Will get those back in no time.
Appropriate all the comments and views.
It shows people love rider till date. So do i.
    Cool.

Great post! This highlights exactly how versatile Ghost Rider can be depending on what you need in a fight.

I feel like so many people look at the tier list (which I do like to look at as well) or how much damage a champ can do. I use Ghost Rider in aq everyday to get through with a full bar with that regen and he is a preferred on my monthly questing team with blade. I enjoy him even more after taking him to rank 5 (and awakening) as the damage is noticeably better.

It does take some thinking about how to structure the judgements, but he is a great champ imo still. Sure, his damage has gone down over time in comparison to new champs and he isn't as useful in high level act 6 maybe. But I happily put sig stones into him to get that attack bonus up since I don't have doom.

I'm glad the OP is rethinking his original thoughts.
