Aw ranking, kabam logic question

Hello guys, with my ally "the Greek empire" we lost our war before the last war in tier3 of the season and we ended in plat3 rank195, so we're like "we lose the last war we drop plat4, we win we stay plat3"
We won our last war in tier4 now but we ended in plat4 rank 4.
How's that possible?
Consider every time we won wars in Tier3, we did it by exploring 3 or 6 paths which is pretty much the same points with winning 100% in tier 4 and we never dropped tank this way

    Plenty of ways to score lots more points than someone else. Attack bonus, diversity, their opponent not exploring the map, etc....

    And they all decided to score more points in the last war as we had never again dropped rank by winning

    They won by more points enough to close the gap they had with us and then overcome it I guess

    If an opponent leaves a lot of nodes up its possible to win by waaayyyyy more

    Scores might still be settling still. Sometimes positions change for a few hours after war ends.

    5 hours have passed so I guess it's permanent
    Daaaamn, would be the first time for plat3
    Is it possible too that alliances below us won their wars in tier 3 so they gathered even more points?
