AW new nodes breakdown! First look. Lets dive into it.

Lets talk about new AW nodes. Lets keep it FUN and make it so everyone can use more champions and not make them use the same champions every war.

Lets talk node by node.
Node 9.
I dont know how cold turkey interacts with immune champions. Im guessing it will trigger degen everytime either an incinerate or poison is placed on a immune champ. Ie iceman mepfisto red hulk. If this is true then we are forced to bring once again ghost + hood to counter it. Im not sure about this one, so take it with a grain of salt.

Node 23
Miniboss tunnel vision + oscillate. 2 nodes that make up for a fun time. Im sure noone is even sure hoe tunnel vision works. Because there is times we do MLM after a parry and it still misses. It takes 1 miss with oscillate fury up and ur rather KO instantly. This node forces u to bring safe counters like Torch and NF. Even playing parry + heavy can screw you over making you miss.

Node 24.
EMP mod? Seriously? The only counter to that is what? Electro? Who is going to bring an electro in AW just for that node. If you want to put that in at least fix corvus shock immunity for that node as well. Because its still broken. It says immune to shock but EMP shock still does damage. Once again forced to bring a certain champion for the node.

Node 40
Lionheart with a 15% buffe mix. One of the best masteries which alot of endgame players use is despair. It has been a potential solution to all champions on path 1 before. Any champion that places alot of debuffs can work as a heal block champion. Lionheart gives despair a big “hand wave” and kisses it goodbye. Now unless we have a warlock that node cant be countered again. Once again the node makes the champion use only 1 champion to counter it.

Node 25
Footlose + kinetic transference. Throw special wait for the unstoppable to finish and then u can hit again. How do u wait 7 seconds in AW without parry? Especially an enemy which is unstoppable and can evade as well? Well you simply cant because if you try to parry then ur simply pushing them to another special and the whole thing restarts again. Timeout guaranteed unless ur probably using a quake n shake. Add a juggernaut for good measure and u have 1 or 2 timeouts.

Node 29 and 37, 39.
Ebb and Flow nodes should just be reduced to like 45% protection. Otherwise you have guaranteed timeouts at both of them. Add a maw or nova and then let me know if you can actually achieve anything there. If you cant intercept like a beast then ur only option is ghost. Theres alot of ghost counters out there lately also the lattest addition to our defense tactics which ill mention later.

On 39 just put a doom and he will resist them heavies/specials till the end of times. Another timeout guaranteed im afraid.

Node 26.
Enchroaching stun + power reserves makes for a great time. This shows someone there doesnt have only malicious intents and wants the player to be able to fight through it in a fair matter. Please dont fire the person who made that combo. Its a node combo that is based on the actual skill of the player. So hats off for that one.

Node 53 miniboss.
Cant parry cant bait heavy only way is intercept. Safe counter remains only ghost again. Sure you can say use a claire to apply either poison or inncinerate but she also nullifies the fury from the UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!! node which will just push to sp3 from the powergain. What else is there to use? Torch? Sure but damn the attack increase from the fury is gonna stack up quite nicely.

Node 48 miniboss.
Rage + return policy. I mean i myself use 4* on a quest if i see rage or a not ranked up champion if i cant use a nullify champion. What is the deal with putting that combo in AW? Should i use a 4* to fight a miniboss? Also damage capped also cant nullify the fury what else can i use except quake? And what if “stubborn” defense tactic is up and shuts down quake? Timeout again. Nullify te rage means sp3 which means death. Use a 4* the damage will probably not be enough to 1 shot which means timeout and thus another death. Come on, work with us here.

And the cherry on top, the absolute best.

Node 35.
I mean path 9 had to live up to its name. A mighty combo of toggle unstoppable and “window of opportunity”. Its very much close to path 4 first fight in the old map. Remember those fun domino fights for those who have done them? Best option there was CapIW, quake and maybe ghost too. How do we play with CapIW? Parry heavy. How do we play quake? It inflicts a stun from either parry or the aftershock charges. Then 1 beautiful day whoever came up with the node was like “how can i prevent that?”, then created the window of oportunity node. If you stun then you get stunned. Domino gets the unblockable. U cant really nullify it because we all know how domino shuts down everything with her modest 15% ability accuracy reduction. Youll get cornered you cant hit back, you cant parry. What can you do? Accept defeat and die in the process. Im pretty sure you are aware how annoying and hard that node is since you use it 3 time and a similar node on the miniboss too. Whoever discovered that node surely got a raise. He should get a % of royalty for every potion/revive used in that fight. Im sure he doesnt need to work another day in his life. Cash grab would be an understatement.

You want more diverse attackers in AW which is fine. But then you procced to create nodes that need a certain counter and also defense tactics that counter those “counters” i.e stubborn which is made to destroy quake and ghost. You put defense tactics which make use the same attackers everytime due to the extra node and then say you want more diverse in attack. Make up your mind. You say one thing and do another. All of the AW players agree on one thing at least. Remove defense tactics as a whole. Leave the Attack tactics. That will push players into more diverse attack teams and for gods sake make more nodes like the node 26 fight. Which is fun and challenging and enjoyable. Dont punish your players. Dont make them use champions they dont have or like, that will ruin the fun of AW.

AW should be all about skill. Not big rosters not who can spend the most. Make fights that reward the player for their skills, not rewards that punish skills and value spending items and certain champs.
