Thing Synergy

So I have an Awakened 5 Star Thing that I could take up to Rank 5 immediately.

However, judging by the tutorials, he really needs The Champion Synergy as well Angela/Hela/Heimdall.

Does anyone with experience with Thing use him without the synergy? Is he really worth taking up all those roster spots?

Any advice is appreciated.

    Dude thing is a beast with 60 passive fury even solo... Try him with the f4 synergy I have them all r5 or equivalent and he's even more or a beast because the ramp up is way faster... Needless to say Thing doesnt need that stupid near death gameplay to be a sick ass champ
