Remove Item Use as a stat in AW and replace with Revives Used

In AW, item use is important for the individual member to know as we are limited to how many we can use, but it is a useless stat for the alliance to see. As the leader, I couldn’t care less how many health potions a member has used but I do want to know who is using multiple level 1 revives and costing us attack bonuses. Ideally, the stat should be changed from items used to attack bonuses lost , but I know that won’t happen cause Kabam likes to keep some mystery until the end, but how about changing it to revives used? This is easily as important in determining how important an AW player is to an alliance as attacker and defender kills

The reason they show you item use is help you strategize moving forward in a war; so you can see who has the ability to top up or revive a champ to take on the challenge ahead. It is not intended to be used as a means of scapegoating someone. If you feel people in your Alliance are somehow trying to hide the fact that they died because of fear or other reasons, your Alliance has a culture problem.

No. We have a knowledge of the game problem. Somewhat inexperienced members who don’t know the difference between dying in AQ vs dying in AW, despite multiple alliance posts to illustrate. I would like to be able to personally address and help to correct those behaviors but if I’m looking at two members that have all their champs knocked out and have used 2 items each, I can’t tell if they died 3 times, 9 times or somewhere in between. If you are in an alliance where no issues have had to be addressed, I applaud you, awesome, but for me this is easily as important as knowing someone is inactive and would help our alliance out a lot.

If you’re in even a loosely organised alliance you should have a good handle on how many deaths your bg/alliance as a whole is dropping just from checking the stats/reading line chat. If you’ve got an imbecile who goes through all 15 items on one node without mentioning it in line for advice etc. Then that’s what the kick button is for.

As a smaller alliance playing in high tier war item use is one of the biggest factors for me when I’m setting paths/matchups in section 2-3 on the map. If I can see that the war is a fairly safe win/guaranteed loss I will always use members who have used the least items so far to balance out the cost of the war across my BG (this is something that is appreciated). If I can see that one of my members have had a rough time in section 1 and used a few items then where possible I’ll send them on an easier path so that I know they won’t item out and get roadblocked.

If your proposal is to make potions ‘free’ in terms of item use, then how we obtain revives would need changing dramatically.

You can tell that by calculating attack bonus, death count and just checking the health pools of their champions.

If just one person has used items you can calculate, but if multiple people have used multiple items you can’t know if one person used a lot of revives and the rest used health or if everyone used a few revives and some health...all you can determine is the net total. We are only a tier 13 level alliance so I can totally see your points in higher alliances, item use would be advantageous to know, so I’ll amend my request, to please add revives used as a stat alongside item use, not replace item use

Keep in mind, there is absolutely no difference between dying 3 times vs dying 9 times against a champ. Both scenarios net 0 attack bonus and defender kills don't really matter after 3. My point is that you should have open communication with your alliance. You should be able to ask that question and get an answer (maybe in private and not in the group chat). Kabam isn't withholding that information from you, your alliance mates are. If people don't understand how the scoring works after you've explained it multiple times, they probably never will and you need to decide whether or not to move on. I sympathize with you because it's probably quite difficult to find strong and dedicated players at your tier.

If they can't get the memo, just kick'em.
