Why is my Ebony Maw's pi boosted so much?

Ebony Maw is 3rd in my roster as you can see:

But his prestige is so much lower than my awakened R4's:

So why are my masteries boosting Maw so much more than my other champs? That's like a 2900 pi increase rather than 2200. Is it cause he's a 6*? I'm just wondering if my highest team rating (based of of prestige, not masteries) would be better with Maw or Archangel on my team.

    his pi is just higher than other characters and leave archangel on ur team

    Masteries affect it.
    Specially Mystic Dispersion, if you have it.

    2 levels, still wondering why my Symbiote Supreme is below him when is Prestige is about 700 higher.

    Also don't confuse PI with Prestige. Those aren't the same thing at all. Prestige is no masteries. PI includes masteries.

    Yup, that's why I was wondering why Maw's Prestige was so much lower but his Pi was so high.

    just a guess but a certain number of masteries give flat stat increases rather than percentage based increases. Ebony Maw doesn't have particularly great stats so in theory he would get a more significant increase with regards to his own stats than a champ with better stats. But the answer is probably because Kabam says so. Prestige/PI (I know there not the same thing) will always continue to get inflated because it increases incentive to get the champ. It is a foolproof way to get endgame players to continue to want the newer champs.

    His PI is quite ridiculous. My r3 5* Maw shows PI exceeding 8600 without any points in MD. But I don’t mind few extra arena points. ;)
