Was this something that was never implemented? Special attacks don't "regenerate", and as far as I know, combo meter does not increase your power.

I don’t think it’s implemented, but it is a cool idea.

Interesting find, guess everything is archived in the web, somewhere or another 😀
And the article was published many months before the game was even released in 2014.

Sounds like the “mixing up moves” is just referring to being able to do a longer combo if you mix up Light and Medium hits. (can only do 4 hits at a time if all the same Light, or even just 2 hits at a time if all Medium, so by mixing up moves you can do up to 5 hits at a time).

Not sure if they had toyed with the idea that a longer your Combo Streak continues, then the faster reaching to SP, although new champs over the years have had additional abilities the higher Combo Streak you can build.
(but think the reference to “the faster your special attacks regenerate” is just referring to the faster your Power can build up to generating a full bar and executing the SP, mixing up moves would allow more power from 5 hits vs 4. Not in relation to regenerating health).

It is interesting they mentioned “performing well-timed blocks” back in their original plans, because PARRY didn’t even become a thing until Masteries were introduced a year (or some amount of time ?) after being released. Although maybe they had always had that in the back of their mind.
