Hitting Into Block Resulting in Special to the Face

Has this been fixed? I know it was an issue that had been happening for a period of time that was "intentional," but I mysteriously stopped encountering it soon after that. It just happened to me in aw. Was it never fixed and I got lucky, or has it only recently started happening?
