Punisher 2099 Tune-Up Nerf then Buff

I noticed one thing with punisher 2099 before and after the tune up, he drains his battery faster then before, i checked seatins videos for prove, when punisher2099 got released he could hold his battery in "Overdrive " mode with the sp1 recharge buff, but now he loses the battery with the buff.

-Overdrive now drains the Battery more slowly. Reduced drain from 0.5 seconds per Battery percent to 0.4 seconds.

Thats written in the tune up from punisher 2099 in the 28.2 mcoc release notes. The first sentence says that his battery will drain more slowly in overdrive, but if you check the seconds per battery percent, its faster.
If the battery should drain more slowly then before, it should be 0.6 seconds per battery percent then 0.4.
That means he drains it 20% faster now then before, but i think it should've been 20% slower if it has to drain "more slowly".

I hope someone could aggree and check for example seatins videos, one from after his tune-up and one before(the video is ~1 year old or so).

I would be happy if you could correct it.

I'd rather have a reasonable time fighting him. The block damage is mental! He's already in overrun for pretty much the entire fight anyway.

Yeah but if they write in the 28.2 update that it drains more slowly if should be slower then before and not faster.
If they wrote it drains faster, then ok.
Because i like him and want to r3 him but if the battery drains faster then before you cant use sp2 for the armour break without using up all your battery, sp1 recharge wont help him because he still drains the battery fast.

I noticed that too, but personally, assumed it was a typo. It's says 'more slowly' and 'reduced drain'; so it seemed pretty clear the intent was to lengthen the proof of overdrive.

Given that intent, I think the 0.5 and 0.4 were just written the wrong way round. Maybe a mod will confirm for us.

Eh, I'm still going to take mine up to r3, his damage while in overdrive and with just one armor break is still really good and the reduced power gain on your opponent is really good too.

Personally I've taken him to R2 (maybe R3 I've day) and he's so good for a lot of irritating opponents like Magik, Mojo, Dr Doom. You can finish most fights without the opponent reaching SP1. Also great for Buffet and Lifecycle nodes thanks to his Heal Block, and Stun on Heavy attacks.

Okay, I've gone and done some quick testing in ROL.

First off: he takes precisely 50 seconds to drain his battery if you don't do anything else. So I'm going to confirm it is now 0.5 seconds per charge (and presumably used to be 0.4)

Second, throwing SP1 almost completely pauses the drain. Playing aggressively, it wasn't hard to have another SP1 ready soon after the Supercharge timer went, so I easily kept the Overdrive up for 120 seconds. Could probably have gone longer if WS hadn't tagged me with a power Drain when I was looking at the stopwatch!

Third, I also did a bit of testing before and after the buff:
Pre-buff, his battery took 90s to fill to 100% charge if you played passively
Pre-buff, throwing SP1 x2 to charge up meant it took 55s to charge to 100%
Post-buff he gets to 100% in 35-40 seconds, depending on use of Specials.
So, he charges up a lot faster.

Fourth, if you want to maximise his damage, you'll need Red Skull, who provides a great (possibly to the point of being bugged) synergy that extends P2099's armour break.

You know, i always wonder if that's a bug ! Red skull has 2 hail hydra synergy's , both do the same thing at +50% & +60% ..

Yeah, but if you check seatins videos for punisher 2099 you can see the difference after the punisher tune up and before the tune up, the video before the tune up is one year ago from seatin.
And there for example if he is in overdrive and he used the sp1 at 90 percent, it was at 90% for the whole sp1 buff duration.
If you use the sp1 now after the tune up where it should be more slowly he would lose battery from 90% to like 84%, that proofs that he is draining the battery faster even with the sp1 buff.

Like i said check on youtube seatins videos, there you can see for yourself that it's not a typo. First i thought so too. But if someone could do a little clip of the differences of before and after tune up and kabam corrects it. He would be more insane in attack and even in defence if he spams sp1 and hold or even recharges battery in overdrive.
