He was an absolute beast in this months side quest, Hades Invasion (shock path). IMO he's a hella good champ, if you use him right he can plow thru opponents with his crits. Hes basically a skilled Corvus..
As other have stated, his damage is terrible. You’d think someone who gets a guaranteed crit phase would be nutty but it’s just not there. Was almost happy to have duped my 6* until I gave him a whirl and found him very lackluster. His frenzy damage is decent with bleeds and crits popping but it doesn’t last long at all and ramping back up is painful. Very parry dependent and his block proficiency doesn’t allow him to do it very long because being whittled down. Same issue Cull obsidian has but Cull is better, by far.
I suspect that he has the same issue as Kingpin (another somewhat lackluster champ): He's designed to be a tricky defender, and ramps up to an aggressive phase by powering up on debuffs.
This makes him a potentially decent champ, but only in the right situations.
In a typical fight he'll probably be a bit rubbish.
In an evade fight (like Mixmaster) or against an opponent like MODOK, his True Accuracy will be plenty valuable.
However, if you seek out a fight with unavoidable debuffs (plenty of nodes for this; like Long Distance Relationship, Rain of Fire, Energy Adoption, Biohazard) he'll ramp up fast and aggressively. In these fights, he's probably decent.
Think of him as a champion to (1) stick on AW defense, and (2) pull out of your pocket for certain debuff-heavy matches, and he's probably got some value.
Speaking of Moleman, what happened to @TheKiryu 's vid about that Mercy path in Act 7 beta? Seemed like Kabam are designing a path that only Moleman can counter.
