Why is moleman so bad?

So why is moleman regarded as a bad champion? From his description, he sounds like you just need to parry and heavy to get a lot of damage in.

IMO he's a hella good champ, if you use him right he can plow thru opponents with his crits. Hes basically a skilled Corvus..
This makes him a potentially decent champ, but only in the right situations.
In a typical fight he'll probably be a bit rubbish.
In an evade fight (like Mixmaster) or against an opponent like MODOK, his True Accuracy will be plenty valuable.
However, if you seek out a fight with unavoidable debuffs (plenty of nodes for this; like Long Distance Relationship, Rain of Fire, Energy Adoption, Biohazard) he'll ramp up fast and aggressively. In these fights, he's probably decent.
Think of him as a champion to (1) stick on AW defense, and (2) pull out of your pocket for certain debuff-heavy matches, and he's probably got some value.
play like this.
hvy hvy hvy sp1 repeat till 15 charges then just spam sp1.
Seemed like Kabam are designing a path that only Moleman can counter.
