Who to rank up?

So, I’m already cavalier and have also finished exploring act 5.
I’m currently at 6.2.4 planning on fighting The Champion soon.

My current R5 5* are:
- CAIW (sig 200)
- Ghost (sig 70)
- Warlock (sig 20)
- Venom
- BWCV

I don’t run suicides (but I might as soon as I get enough units).
I also don’t have Red Hulk as a 5* for the Domino synergy.
I can awaken Corvus if needed and take him to sig 50.

Please, if possible, justify your choice.

Magneto, Human Torch, and Corvus. Put all your sigs into Omega, and once he's 150+, then r5 him

I didn't find myself using Corvus too much in 6.3 onward since I don't run suicides. I did use Stealthy throughout my whole Act 6 run though. He would be a great choice, but I'm gonna have to go with Magneto on this one.

Would you rank them in that order? Also, would you awaken Corvus before ranking him up or it doesn’t make much difference?

If you’re looking for a champ specifically for the champion then go with SS. But if you’re looking for a champ for general 6.3/6.4 then mags is the man.

Oh, I’m actually surprised. I thought Corvus would be a lot helpful from 6.3.1 to 6.4.6.

Corvus's sig isn't a necessity if you can play him well, but it helps.

Healthpools are too big to finish in one set of glaive charges without needing to dance around.

Is SS still the best counter for The Champion? I fought him in the Legendary quest last month and BWCV didn’t seem like a really good counter. He would still go unstoppable all the time. So yeah, I’m considering SS only for the champion.

It makes sense. Is he useful for variants and the Cavalier event quests, tho? Cause I might start doing those before going for 6.3 and 6.4.

Variants, maybe 1 and 4 alone. Cavalier EQ, healthpools also too massive.

Sorcerer supreme is arguably a better counter imo. Maybe a bit slower, but is way more efficient imo across all the phases imo.

He doesn't have a ton of reach to deal with the healthpools. If you're highly boosted or run suicides, he'll do great. But he didn't really cut it for me. My Stealthy actually does just as much damage as Corvus but has more reach because he has no limit. You're just trading immunities and survivability for the slow debuff.

I used Claire in my initial run and was super close to a solo. (It would've been a solo if it wasn't 4:00 am.) She does a whole lot better against the 6.2.6 version cause the nodes give him a lot more buffs, giving her a lot more power, giving her a lot me buff control on the Sp2, giving her more chances to nullify if he does happen to go unstoppable. Symbiote Supreme is still better for that fight imo, but I'd use a R5 BWCV over a R4 SS. No reason to rank him up for that fight imo.

I voted for Torch only in general. But for 6.3 and 6.4 Mags was king. Just demolished some bosses and lanes like nothing.

Not gonna lie, I’m quite disappointed. Corvus was my most wanted champion and now that I pulled him, he’s not useful for the contents I have left 😂😂

He's still an amazing champion, you're just not going to be seeing his full potential till you unlock suicides.

You sure about that? It's quite debatable, but finishing fights within 20 glaive charges might be just as hard with or without suicides if he's at 0 or low number of charges.

Maybe you should actually test for yourself when you get suicides, then update this thread with your findings. ✌🏾

I’m actually debating if I should run suicides or not since the champion I use the most is CAIW and he’s not suicide friendly - neither is Venom. I’d only do it, probably, if I ranked up Corvus since he’d be part of my main team.

I've used him in 6.4 with 50% extra attack and it was enough, and that's without recoil or the extra 10% attack. Plus it's been tested countless times by other people. He can take down the first fight by conserving your charges and throwing 2 Sp2's, and then all the other fights go down in a single Sp2, max. Plus he can solo 6.3/4 bosses after he's ramped up.

CAIW actually is pretty suicide friendly since his Sp3 is huge, no need to throw Sp2's and take recoil damage. If you run coag, the downsides are pretty minimal. That's why AA and Quake are suicide friendly too.

Magnezo will help you in 6.3 a lot with IMIW and Mysterio, the most annoying bosses there. Also could work for 6.4 eventually
