What is classified as EVADE?

So I strike at a champ sometimes and they seem to back-dodge the swing. It doesn't say anything like evade, miss, or anything else... What is this classified as...seems like an evade to me. I've seen it happen a lot....

What mode are you seeing this in?

Sometimes the champ might just dash backwards at the exact right time to get out of range of your attack. Other than that, it would definitely be helpful to know what nodes are active, what champs this occurs with, etc.

This was just in the t3 proving grounds...something very simple..no nodes... It basically looked like an evade without being classified as an evade...don't tell me you haven't seen this before. and it wasn't the opponent dashing back

How do you know it wasn't the AI dashing back?

do you mean what the community refers to as a shallow evade? you can do it yourself. it's not an evade lol

“they seem to back-dodge the swing”

They are dashing backwards allowing them to dodge attacks.

@New_Noob168 if you could get some screen recording, that would make it a lot easier to tell what the cause is. It’s not that I don’t believe that the AI can do this, I just can’t recall seeing it recently.

It’s also very possible that your game lagged for a fraction of a second, and allowed enough time for the opponent to dash back, but on your screen it just looked like they somehow evaded mid-hit or something.
