Is he any use without all the synergies? I just can’t decided if i should rank him up or not. I don’t have a decent science champion at the moment

    Definitely worth ranking even without the synergies imo!

    He's a brilliant stubborn war defender at the minimum, but offensively he has lots of cool utility like bleed and shock immunity, armour break immunity, nullify immunity, can nullify unstoppable, can place staggers, protection to tank damage and even dot effects, has unstoppable for things like can't stop wont stop, and some other things. That's all on his own, and the damage is pretty respectable once you built up to 60 passive furies with no synergy. The synergies just makes him nuts though with the damage he can put out!

    My 6* is at rank 3, and he's possibly one of my most enjoyable to play champs in the game, though that is with the synergies but he's absurdly powerful with the synergies that you can build a team around just him and shred through content with ease if you're skilled enough to play with lower health.

    Thanks dude, i guess i just really need to learn how to use him,

    How to you stack up the furies? some times i really stuggle to work out how these champs work from the bio, it all can just seem like gobaldygook sometimes

    You gain rock stacks from block and parry. At 15 or above, throwing specials converts them to furies and are unblockable. Furies cap at 60

    Contrary to what many people believe because of his synergies, he's not a huge damage dealer. His main uses come from nullify, shock, and armor break immunity. They're all rare immunities and when you need them, Thing is the best option a lot of the time. Worth ranking up.

    When above 15 stacks, thing gets a timer converting stacks above 15 to furies. Also with ht synergy every stack above 20 converts to fury instantly. So you only need to parry about 15 times.

    I had him as r4 5*, then pulled 6*. Not going to rank up any atm. His damage without synergies is ok, but not crazy. Didn't they nerf good synergies btw? Anyway, if you don't need shock immunity, he's a solid option. For everything else you might usually have a better option

    his damage without suicides and synergies is actually pretty decent for me. at 60 furies without the fury from sp3 he does 7k medium crits and with the fury from sp3 he does 15k crit mediums too. with synergies he just becomes broken, provided you can intercept and play comfortably with a low amount of health.
